Transneft Energy hosts 2nd stage of young professionals’ project session cycle

Transneft Energy has hosted the 2nd session for young professionals from 17 Transneft subsidiaries, who keep generating scenarios for technological development of the FES (fuel and energy sector) of Russia.

Forecasting Technological Progress in the Russian Fuel and Energy Sector in the Context of Global Trends till 2030 is a project that has taken on a form of a contest between teams of universities and FES companies of Russia, taking place from March to October 2018.

At a scheduled meeting, members of a combined team discussed their project on the Methods and Means of Controlling Energy Systems. As a result of the session, the young professionals prepared a report on potential global and regional challenges stemming from  the global trends in the FES and their impact on the industry, society, economy and technologies.

The 3rd and final stage of the contest will take place from 7 June to 31 July 2018. The best outlooks will be submitted to the executive management of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation on 6 October 2018, at the Youth Day event at Russian Energy Week,  an international energy efficiency and power engineering development forum. A brochure will be released on the basis of the best forecasts, titled Forecasting Technological Development of Russian Fuel and Energy Sector in the Context of Global Trends Through the Eyes of Youth. The contest is arranged by Nadezhnaya Smena (Reliable Successors), an educational projects foundation, and the Faculty of Economics of the MSU (Lomonosov Moscow State University). The project is supported by the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
