Transneftenergo took part in the Global Energy Efficiency and Power Industry Forum, Russian Energy Week (hereinafter the “Forum”) held on 3 to 7 October 2017 in Moscow.
At the exhibition arranged for as part of the forum, Transneftenergo showed the results of the efforts taken under the Energy Saving Program at Transneft stand.
The event included summarizing of the results of the Fourth All-Russian Contest of Implemented Power Saving and Energy Efficiency Boosting Projects, ENES-2017.
Transneft energy efficiency and energy saving projects developed with Transneftenergo’s involvement and implemented in Transneft entities ranked No. 1 in the Best Implemented Comprehensive Program in the Fuel and Energy Sector to Promote Energy Saving and Boost Energy Efficiency category, and received the certificate for efficient management system and best industrial practice in energy saving and energy efficiency boosting in a fuel and energy enterprise.
To implement Transneft’s energy policy, Transneftenergo coordinates operations of Transneft entities (hereinafter “TE”) in energy saving and implementation of the global energy management standard, ISO 50001:2011. Over the eight years from the start of the energy efficiency program implementation, electricity consumption in TEs dropped by approx. 20%. Energy consumption reduction in 2016 came to 1.8% of total energy consumption due to implementation of Transneft’s Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency Boosting Program.
